Sometimes, though, people "limit" themselves by what they perceive to be "circumstances of their upbringing." Yes, we all do have to live with the cards we're dealt, but it's how you play your hand that affects your chances at success.

Our parents' experiences, their trials and tribulations, help to shape our perspectives. However, we don't have to assume that we're #cut from the same cloth as anybody else. Many people with difficult upbringings have proven to be diamonds in the rough.

Our physical characteristics, including our gender and skin #color should never be used by others or ourselves to determine what we can accomplish. I'm very proud of the social media movements that have brought awareness to disparities and inspired others to shed light inequalities within their organizations.

We expect to have complete #clarity with their career prospects, perhaps too early on. Premature commitments can lead to future resentments, so it's important to explore every interest. Keep an open mind and trust that will find your true calling.
