👉Housestaff Quality and Safety committees (HQSC) are an increasingly popular model used to introduce trainees to the systems-level issues and obstacles that impede the delivery of cost-effective, safe healthcare practices. .
👉Residents are in a powerful position as they are the "front line" experiencing all of the frustrating pitfalls and inconsistencies in the academic healthcare delivery model..
👉Per the ACGME, all trainees are required to engage in a quality improvement projects during residency.

All projects are progressing towards presentation and/or publication. But more importantly, these rockstars are leaving their stamp of quality within their specialties that will encourage the next generation of trainees to continue to pay it forward!
